Utilising the foundation of a person-centred approach, Daniel takes a holistic perspective on wellbeing that acknowledges the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit, and environment. This approach can offer a deeper understanding of underlying issues and reveal personal strengths and resources clients already possess to facilitate healing. As an Indigenous person, Daniel recognises the importance of cultural humility and a trauma- informed approach. Natalia is a registered social worker in the province of New Brunswick, and is currently completing the final year of her Master of Social Work through Dalhousie University. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Work from St. Thomas University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts- Honours, English from Carleton University. She has worked as a mental health clinician with children and youth, providing support to their families and caregivers. Currently, she is engaged with the Canadian Red Cross, as a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Advisor. She also has several years experience working and living in remote Inuit and First Nation communities. Fluent in native Spanish and Colombian born, she was also raised in Canada and the US. She practices from a holistic, multicultural approach, implementing her own experiences into her practice. Through a trauma informed lens, she uses elements of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy).
