Trauma Specific Training

Trauma Informed HR

Trauma Informed Policing

A trauma informed organization is able to fully realize the prevalence of trauma, recognize the effects of trauma, and respond with trauma informed policies and practices. Leadership, including Human Resources are essential in helping an organization make the shift to be trauma informed as seamless and normative as possible. Many healthcare, non profit and likeminded organizations most likely already incorporate principles of a trauma informed lens, however, there may not always be a conscious connection between effective leadership/HR and trauma informed practices.

This is part of our consultation services, as a way to help organizations integrate trauma-informed practices at all levels.

Trauma informed Leadership for Boards

This is a 1.5 hour presentation for those in leadership at the board level, whether at a working or advisory capacity.

The presentation explores:
  • Race and Privilege
  • Trauma
  • Diversity in a board (both visibly and cognitively)

This is an introduction to get individuals reflecting on their role on the board, reflect on the source of their narrative, and begin to potentially grasp how others may be navigating spaces that aren't made for people who look differently than the majority standard (who are not white/racialized).
As law enforcement officers, the trauma you bear witness to everyday undoubtedly affects us. The purpose of this training is to understand how it affects you and what can be done about it.

Topics such as :
  • Trauma informed approaches
  • Vicarious trauma & secondary trauma
  • Self Care
  • Law Enforcement Encounters

Trauma Informed Law

This presentation helps to create a bridge between law practices and trauma informed practice. As lawyers, you are helping people navigate some of the most difficult situations they may ever encounter.

When we work with people, we are working with Trauma. Understanding trauma and the way it impacts people will help you fulfill your obligations as a Lawyer, and how to ethically relate to your clients.
